Aestyn Getting Bettttter!

She is doing better and having fun at the dog park! You can see the wound on the side of her lower neck. That was the one giving her the most trouble but it is finally closing up. She is back to having fun in the sun! <3

Pretty Puppy

This is from some shots I took yesterday. Happy puppy!!

Update on Aestyn:

She is doing well. That one puncture wound is STILL not closing up but not bleeding as much. Just slow seepage. Finally letting her out of the cage. Just making sure to put sheets on-top of anything we don't want blood to get on in case it decides to bleed more.

That's all for now!

Update on my photography venture

So I have been posting ad's on craigslist as a free photographer and I already have two gigs. An anniversary party on New Years Eve and a wedding on January 2. I know I said weddings would be a little much. But I am planning on taking some online photography courses if possible to get better. I also plan to study wedding albums like my step-sisters and anyone elses I can get my hands on to get ideas of shots to aim for.

On a side note, I also got a request for some nude shots and decided to update my website to add that as something I am not interested in. Maybe someday if I actually become a true professional I might look at some artistic nude but meh, not any time soon.

Hrmmm, that's all for now updates wise.

He's Makin a Break for it!

There is a little dog that goes to the park a lot that jumps back and forth over the fence but this is the first time I have seen a big dog do it. So cute! It looks like he's after Aestyn from the shot too. :-P

Vet Visit

So I didn't get a chance to get a shot of her wounds but this is some blood on the floor of the room. This is after only laying down for a moment even after wiping them and putting pressure on them at the park. The vet flushed out the two large puncture wounds and the skinned patch with saline solution while pumping her with antibiotics. But even after putting pressure on it for awhile it was still bleeding. They said they will need to be watched, remain open, and make sure they drain right. One was already swollen slightly when I got her there so they want me to watch her closely. They warned that tomorrow she will be in a lot more pain and bruising is sure to show up around the wounds. If they start to get red and/or don't drain properlly it will be cause for worry and if things get too bad they might have to do surgery to make sure nothing vital was damaged. The two puncture wounds were deep but they are thinking that it might only be muscle damage which isn't too bad. They sent me home with antibiotics and pain killers. Rounded out to be about $200. And thats without counting her follow up in three days and hope that nothing more drastic will need to happen. It is frustrating that the owners of the dogs never came to check in with me even though it was obvious that she was bleeding considering by the end of it all I was holding a damp bloody rag. Because of people being inattentive I now have an injured pup who needs to be caged otherwise she would bleed all over the house, and $200 dent into my already fun filled debt. *sigh* I know there are dangers always when you bring your dog to a dog park. I have seen many fights myself. But this is the first time my dog has actually been attacked and it is a little scarey. I don't plan to stop going to the park though. I just think I will keep her walking along the outskirts for awhile until I feel more comfortable allowing her to socialize again. Luckily she is easily amused by sniffing the fence line and peeing on trees. :-)

Anyways, I just had to vent. It was a rather frustrating and scarey experience. Once again I am truly thankful for those who helped me. It makes it so I am comfortable still going back to that place. If no one had come to help, I don't think I would trust to bring her back again. I was lucky not to have been bit myself when I was trying to push the other dogs off of her and keep them away. Bah, I am rambling agian. I should go check on the puppy. Hopefully, with a restful weekend, in a few days I can take her out again but keep her close....

today and yesterdays dog park photos

Hello everyone. I gave out a few cards today and yesterday and just wanted to say that I did get some good shots and they should be processed and posted by the end of the weekend.

On a different note I am posting this from the animal hospital down red bank. Aestyn got attacked in a mass of dogs and is bleeding from a few spots. Nothing too big but I decided to bring her in just in case since one spot wouldn't stop bleeding. On that note, people please watch your dogs. The owners were slow to react if at all so it took longer than I would have liked to get them off. I love socializing as much as the next person but just like children your dogs should remain in your view. Thanks for all of you who already do that an for those who help even when their dog had no part in the attack. <3

That's all for now! I will post later how the vet went.
